The Annual Catty is here!

Hi Stampers!

So exciting isn't it!!! The new catty is finally here for all to see. Now I can share with you some of the exciting things that are there. Unfortunately I haven't included any picture of the products for you because I just wanted to share and the pictures aren't available yet.

The New 2012-2014 In-colour Collection has some beautiful colours there; Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit. The sounds so yummy don't you think? Check them out on page 152. Of course there is all the coordinating accessories, from ink to cardstock to brads and ribbons and there are these new things Dahlias, just as an embellishment.

Stamps... which ones are new and do I think will be versatile and popular... hmmmm page 108 Postage Due looks like it could be a lot of fun to work with. $37.95 for the woodmount set and it coordinates with the Postage Stamp Punch (of course!).

Sentiment Stamps, I'm thinking Itty Bitty Banners (page 134) $27.95 woodmount would be one one the most versatile buys. Of course it depends on what you want from your stamps. But if you're after lots of words for not much, this would be the set. The coordinate with the Bitty Banners Framelits Die on page 191. But you could still get a good looking sentiment without the Big Shot. (But the Big Shot really is the best product in the whole catty, but I already have that! :P)

I am so in love with the beautiful choice of Christmas Designer Series Papers. Traditional colours, that's what I like to see. Now, a set to set your up for Christmas... I'm thinking No Peeking on page 23 could be a lot of fun. The simple gift cards on page 22 and tags on page 23 really do showcase this set. For those of you out there without the spare room dedicated to card making, you could do a lot. Grab your cardstock, markers and add an embellishment - ribbon, button, brad or even a rhinestone or two or three.

I've been a patient young girl and if there's anyone out there wondering what I'd like to my birthday, you might break the bank, but at $4.95 I think it's a great price! Finally Stampin Up have spray bottles. 2 for $4.95! That's cheaper than what I paid at the Reject Shop! Check them out on page 179. Grab some Shimmer Paint and spray away!

For all the budding little cooks out there page 161 has some Cookie Stamps. Yep, that's right Cookie stamps. You stamp the cookie! Not with ink silly! There are three silicone stamps in each pack for $29.95. And then there's the beautiful boxes to package them in!

Now this wouldn't be a highlight list if I didn't mention the Big Shot. There's a heap of new embossing folders on page 189. The Fashionable Hearts Embosslits on page 188 is on my wishlist for only $20.95.

And of course there is the New Digital Design. Create digital masterpieces with these products. Each disc includes DSP (Designer Series Paper) and Stamp brush sets as well as templates to create photobooks, stationary items and much more. Check out Page 205 (the inside back cover).

If you'd prefer to look at the Annual Catalogue in real life, just let me know and for $5.95 plus postage I can get a catty out to you... and then your list can really begin!

Oh, and how could I forget, the Holiday catty is out too. This one is free so if you would like a real life copy let me know and I can get one out to you, brooke@impulse.net.au  Hightlights for me - I'm stuck on page 3. Love at first sight I think it was. Ornament Keepsake Bundle for me please! The stamp set and the Framelits Dies. I hear you asking, 'how many Christmas stamp sets does one girl need?' my answer - a girl can never have too many!

On page 27 there are some googlies - googly eyes that are self adhesive!!! Where have you been all my life? There will be a few packs on my order, you just never know when you'll need them!

The DSP on page 24, I know they are Halloween colours and we don't do that here in Australia, but how beautiful are the colours? I think they can be dressed up for either men or woman or even kids cards!

I'll let you go and have a look now! Follow the links on the Stampin Up webpage to view the online catalogues www.stampinup.com.au

Happy browsing and keep leaving your mark,

Fabric Baby Blocks

Hi Stampers, Crafters and Blog followers,

As I promised, a picture of my boy block. I have been selling these from my facebook page and they have been selling like hotcakes! Talk about make you feel good about what you do! One of my customers said that it was "just so lovely to be able to give a homemade gift that is personalised for my friend's baby." She said, "I'm not crafty so I can't make it myself. But I love the idea. Keep your calender free because there's a few more babies on the way and this is now my gift for them. I love them." And I'm more than happy to make them for you!

I've also included a picture of the girl's block on it's own for you. This one has twelve different ribbons, Evangeline's has four.

Once again, I'd just like to acknowledge Sew Little, for the ABC 123 pattern. I've been able to adapt the pattern to suit the needs of myself and now my customers.

They are lots of fun to play with, maybe I should make one with my name on it! :)

If you'd like me to make a baby fabric block for someone special in your life please just send me an email or call or text and I'm more than happy to help.

Hope you have a great weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Just a reminder

Hi Stampers,

Just a little reminder that the 31st of August is approaching and that is the last day that you can order from the retired list. There are still products available. It's your last chance to order these products and with some of them discounted up to 70% it's worth it.

The ink/stamp pads have also been reduced, so if you're wanting to increase your colour range, it's a great opportunity to do so. Stampin Up will continue to stock the same colours (other than the In Colour range from 2010-2012) they are just changing the foam of the stamp pad. So it makes no difference to us! I say it's stock up time!

What have I been up to?

Hi there Stampers and crafters!

Now that I've given out my gifts I can put them up for the rest of you to see what I've been doing with my time. Recently, in fact last week, a very good friend of mine had a beautiful baby girl. Before her baby was born I had a plan! I knew exactly what I was going to make! For my birthday last year this special friend gave me a Sew Little pattern to make an ABC123 cube. In my typical style, I decided to change it a little so that it's a personalised gift... I wanted to put the baby's name on it. Most names have six letters or less, so I'll just make one cube with the name of their baby on it. I had my fabrics selected. I cut out the fabric and tags for a boy and girls block. Then finally the news arrived, she had a girl and her name... EVANGELINE. Hmmmm... 10 letters... what should I do? Well, I did it. I made 10 blocks, one with each letter of her name. Every second block has cellophane and the others have a bell in them. They have Stampin Up ribbon taggies.

I had a few baby cards in my collection, but I wanted to make one especially for her. Using my Baby Bundle stamp set. This is what I made. I've used my pastels and blender pen and some DSP. Simple and easy card that I think works well.

I'll post a picture of my boys block for you soon.

I've been thinking...

Hi stampers,

I've been thinking that it's time to get back out there into party world. I'm ready to do some more demonstrations. My parties are 2 cards for $5 and there is always a lucky door prize that you or one of your guests will win!

Along with all the great Stampin Up Hostess benefits, I offer you a free 2012/2013 Annual Catty, your 2 cards Free and if you book a workshop party by the end of the month (even if your party is January next year) and you can sell $300 worth of products, I'll let you choose a woodmount stamp set from my collection. It's brand new, never been used, never been mounted. They are just old stock and I want to get rid of them, so you reap the benefits of my clean out! :)

Having a party is a great way for you to spend an afternoon with some family and friends creating. I demonstrate 2 handmade cards that are easy for anyone to make and you can copy mine or let your creativeness flow and create something different! Of course I'd like you to buy some of the quality Stampin Up products but if you don't want any that's fine, you still get to take your cards home at the end. It's great fun and even the people that say that they aren't crafty can come along, I've seen it many times... and there is nothing more satisfying to me than seeing someone (especially someone who's not crafty) proud of what they have made. That's why I do it; it's easy, fun and satisfying!

So if you're up for it, then so am I! Email me brooke@impulse.net.au or 0408 673 601.

Beautiful Wings

Hi Fellow Stampers,

So you've had enough of me advertising and you want to see some of my work. Well here it is. This is a simple card that I made for a friend. My friend has a wonderful hubby who bought her a Big Shot for her birthday! I just wanted to make a simple card showing some of the easy techniques that you can use.

The main colour is Tempting Turquoise with Whisper White. I embossed with Petals A Plenty embossing folder. The Tempting Turquoise  piece that is embossed has been turned over so the white is pressed out and the blue inwards. Place some Beautiful Wings Butterflies. Stamp with a Heard from the Heart Sentiment and embellish as desired. It's that easy!

If you'd like to make this card at a workshop please contact me
brooke@impulse.net.au or 0408 673 601

Retirement

Hey fellow stampers,

It's August and if you know Stampin Up, August is retiring time... yep some of those stamp sets and accessories have had a great life but it's time to move on and bring in some new stuff (which will be out in the new Annual Catty in September) but first there needs to be some room made for all this new stuff... so it's out with the old. There are some products that have been reduced, I imagine that they won't last long so if you want to place an order for anything on this list please email me brooke@impulse.net.au or call me 0408 673 601 and I can place your order straight away.

I know that all good things must come to an end, but really... my favourite kids set... Fox and Friends. Lucky I already have this set!

I'll let you make your way though the lists. If you'd like a copy of the catalogue, so it's easier to see what's being retired...(2011/2012) I have discounted them to $5 and since I'm cleaning up I can even throw in some older ones for free if you would like. You'll just have to pay for postage or arrange a time for delivery or collection with me. Just let me know!

Well, I'm off to make a list... have fun and keep leaving your mark!

Brooke
