Church + Pinterest

Hi Stampers, Crafters and Blog Followers,

This one's not a stampy one at all... At the end of last year another couple and ourselves decided to create a new look entry for our church. It's a very exciting time in the life of the church as we have purchased the building... so we thought a new year and new look might help to inspire others to help out... there was a lot of work to be done. Move books to a new location and all the prep that you have to do before painting. Then there was the painting. Who would have thought it would take so long to paint such a small area! But we were really happy with the results. Yes a little plain, white (the same as what we have at home) with a feature wall of a grey. On the grey wall there's some artwork done by Richard - a really clever form of art called fractals. Somehow they use maths and that's what creates the colours and designs. These really do add some nice colour and a personal touch. Lorraine and I had also seen the use of pallets on Pinterest... and this is what we came up with...

Pinterest - we love you!

Happy

Hi Stampers!

It has been a few weeks. And I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy 2014. I hope that you enjoyed celebrating Christmas last year. We had a great time with our families, of course it was made extra special simply by the joy that our daughter was sharing with everyone.

Christmas pressies were lots of fun to open in our house and even more exciting when you find out what's inside! Then we just want to play with it all - that's what Boxing Day is for! There did appear to be one character that was dominating many of the gifts and that was the loveable Peppa Pig. I cannot believe the craze of such an interestingly simple character! If you're not aware of this Pig then you need to jump on ABC2 at about 5:00pm and check it out. It only goes for 5 minutes but trust me every child loves Peppa and George!

But being the stingy person that I am, I couldn't bare to spend big bucks on a simple little t-shirt. So you guessed it, I made a few myself! Took a while to do the applique - but so much cheaper and a great feeling of achievement and the completed works.
