Christmas Single Stamps

Hi Stampers, Crafters and Blog Followers,

Are you starting to think about Christmas? It was funny, I was having a discussion with someone whom works in retail and he was saying how many weekends there were until Christmas... there's now only 14 weekends! When it's put like that, it's not too far at all. And as always, it will creep up on us and we won't have any Christmas cards made! Does that happen to you too? Well, here are some single stamps to get you started on your ever grown Christmas Card list. They are only available for a limited time and it's a great way to get one or two at a really reasonable price. Please remember that they do only come in clear so you will need a mounting block to make life a little easier. I can help you get the right size if you need some help there.

If you like a better image of these stamps, please contact me and I can email you the PDF (I just don't know how to attach it to my blog, sorry!)

If you would like to order one, two or all of these stamps please let me know and if you place an order before the end of the month, I can include FREE postage.

Keep leaving your mark,
Brooke

October Workshop

Hi Stampers, Crafters and Blog Followers,

This is pretty exciting... I'm doing a full day workshop at my place on Saturday 5th October. We're making 8 cards for $40. There is a PDF flyer with all the details so please contact me brooke@impulse.net.au so that I can forward it on to you.

I have attached the picture of the cards we're making here for you. There are a fair few techniques and of course a fair few different products to try in these cards.

Of course everyone who attends will receive special offers and a lucky door prize. The cost also includes a SNAIL or refill. I think it's good vale and I'm sure you'll have a great time, so let me know if you're interested as places are limited.

Keep leaving your mark,
Brooke

Merry Side Step

Hi Stampers, Crafters and Blog Followers,

This is one that I've been thinking about making for a little while and I wanted it to be a Christmas card that involved the use of a photo. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people that doesn't mind showing you everything that I make but don't want to show off my family. Sorry,. but I'm sure that you can use your imagination... see that large amount of Bermuda Bay cardstock... I want you to imagine a very happy little family... Mummy and Daddy smiling away and little daughter with her hands over her face or fingers up her nose or pulling a little face - one where we all think it's cute but when she's older she finds it embarrassing!

This is a side-step card and with the use of the new Stampin Up cutter, it was so easy to cut and score, without having to change a blade!

The paper is from the Holiday catty (which, if you haven't got, you need to let me know so you can get one posted to you, or of course you can have a look online). It's called Winder Frost Paper Stack. The papers come 11.4cm x 16.5cm, there's 2 double-sided designs (so four patterns altogether) in a little paper pack. A great idea for the card maker, and fabulous for Christmas cards... 48 sheets is going to make a lot of cards!

I think I've already shown you the Expressions Thinlits before (and you will be seeing more of them!). My only piece of advice when using these is place a piece of baking paper between the thinlit and your cardstock... saves your cardstock from getting torn to pieces and saves your hair from being pulled out too! I've used the Silver Glimmer paper here and don't stress, if you measure you paper nicely and take your time to place the thinlit, you can use the other piece too so there's not wasting of paper, especially the glimmer papers!

Finally I would like you to check out the beautiful Frosted Finishes Embellishment... simply stunning if you ask me!

Brooke
