Rag Bag Class

Hello fellow Markers,

I hope you've created something special for someone special last week. If not, oh well, let's make something special for yourself (or you could give it away, but you'll love it too much for that!).

There has been a lot of interest in the Rag Bag I have posted. So (pardon the pun), let's do it. Let's have a class!

When: FRIDAY 30TH MARCH @ 2PM
Where: MY HOUSE (I can email directions on confirmation)
Cost: $30 (includes fabric, wadding, ribbon, button and brad) OR $15 and you bring your own supplies.
What to bring: Sewing machine (if you have one), cotton, scissors, pins, bobbin, needle. If you have a rotary cutter, mat and ruler that'd be great too but don't stress if you don't.
RSVP: Friday 16th March 2012

You can choose your fabric from the IB&C page 140 or the Summer Mini page 11. Just let me know which one you would like. If you would like a fourth fabric (like mine, plain black) I can get a matching plain colour but if you'd like something else you will need to purchase 25cm... you can get great fabric from Honeysuckle Glass & Patchwork or Lil Blokes or there is always Spotlight.

Limited places, first in will be best dressed with this cute bag! :)

Email me to secure your place before 16th March.

Keep leaving you mark,
Brooke

Sale-a-bration

Sale-a-bration is such an exciting time in the Stampin' Up! calender. You get free stuff! And who doesn't like free stuff?

You can earn free stamps (or other accessories) simply by spending $100, hosting a workshop or joining the wonderful Stampin' Up! team (plus you get a free set from the IB&C!).

If that's not enough options for you, I have a deal well worth considering... how about a "SHARE THE HOSTESS BENEFITS CATALOGUE PARTY"? This worked really well last time we did it. You just need to spend $50, but we will need at least six people willing to participate. If you're interested please contact me ASAP and I can explain how it works. REMEMBER: The sooner the orders are in the sooner our products arrive, the sooner we can start creating our little masterpieces! I would love to place our order no later than Sunday March 18th.

Keep leaving your mark,
Brooke

Rag Bag

Hello there fellow Markers,

Well here it is, my first post on my very own blog. You know what the exciting thing about this is? I can share what I make with all of you, my fellow crafters and if you don't like it, you don't read it or even look and it doesn't offend me because I don't know what you said! lol

This is something I've wanted to make for ages, the Rag Bag. It's from the idea of the quilt as you go Raggy Quilt (which I am now inspired to make too!). This bag is made using the quality Stampin Up products and I whipped it up during two naps in one day! So quick! (Maybe they were long naps too).

It's simply made up of 19 fabric squares (for each side)that you put through the Big Shot. Yep,
that's right, you put the fabric through the Big
Shot! Quilt as you go; sewing a cross on each square that is layered with fabric, wadding, fabric. Then you join it all together and decorate as you please. On someone else's blog they suggest cutting between the scallops and then wash and dry in the dryer to give the really, really raggy look. We might try that with my next one. Yep, my husband said I was allowed to make more! :D That doesn't happen very often, so I guess it must be pretty cool if he says I can make more!

Keep leaving you mark,
Brooke
